Amazon Scammed by a Couple out of $1.2 Million Couple admits to Steal

A couple, Leah Jeanette Finan, 37 and Erin Joseph Finan, 38, from Muncie, Indiana have scammed Amazon by more than $1.2 Million. Star Press reports, Federal court in Indianapolis accused them guilty to the charge of money laundering and mail fraud.

Both have purchased a lot of GoPro Digital Cameras, Smartwatches, Microsoft Surface Tablets and Xboxes and reported the Amazon, products which they have bought are not working, missing or Damaged and request to replace at no charge.

They have used to conceal this scam, hundreds of fake identities to make this purchase. And then they have sold these gadgets to Danijel Gluman, 28, who resale this loot after remarking it with unnamed “New York Entity”.

Glucan resold this loot in the black market. Glucam also charged to pay an amount of $725,000 to Finans. US Attorney John Minkler said, “Consumer fraud is absorbed by all of us through higher retail prices”.

According to their plea agreement, if they were sentenced to prison less than or equal to about seven years than they will not appeal against to decision. But yet they were ordered to pay Amazon $1.2 mn and may face up to 20 years.
